Piano Room

The piano room at Rare Air Studios has been designed to capture a very live, natural, airy recording. The rooms dimensions are 22' x 17' with 12 foot ceilings.  Why devote so much room and expense to an acoustic 6' grand piano in this age of samplers and MIDI? The answer is simple, nothing sounds or plays like a real grand piano!  Of course the Neumann and AKG mics don't hurt.
